ABOUT
Our Roots
Here at R & R Art Center, we are driven by a single goal; to give our students and our community a place that feels like family. We want everyone who walks through our door to be a little bit more CREATIVE, to reach for their CREATIVE goals, and to learn to CREATE through our educative process. R & R began in 2009, as a dance program dedicated to a beloved friend. In 2014, we rebranded to allow us the opportunity to expand our class offerings. We started all over again, in a tiny room of a daycare, with 7 students and Miss Jackie's older daughter coming to visit. As Miss Jackie's family grew, so did R & R. We now offer over 35 different classes, multiple amazing instructors, and over 150 kids! We are so grateful for our R & R family and what they bring to our lives.
OUR STORY
I feel it's important that you know me, as the founder. After all, you are entrusting me with the littles of your life, your most precious things. My name is Jackie, the kids call me Miss Jackie.
Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to be a teacher. I love every aspect of kids. Their accomplishments, their struggles, their hardships, and their goals. I think their jokes are funny, I love the look in their eyes when they "get it", and I feel that I can have a wholesome influence on their arts education.
Since the age of 16, I've been in and out of the classroom, as a dance team leader & teacher assistant. I've worked with every age, from 1-19, in every type of classroom you could imagine. I spent every year and every summer after high school pursuing my masters degree. My thesis was one of the most difficult journals I've ever written! Look for it to be published soon!
In 2013, I got pregnant with my daughter, Kynzie. I struggled with how I could do it all, be a mom, keep dance in my life, and teach. I told my husband of my "dream" of putting all of those goals together as one. He laughed, how could I possibly do all of them at once? 6 months later, Rhythm & Rhymes Art Center was born. Now, it is my happy place, my kids are there, my students are there, and my dancers are there. It is also my community, my family. My friends are product of R & R, my family (grandmas, grandpas, cousins, and siblings included) all surround me with support whether it's setting up for the year, or going to dance nationals. My kids are involved in every piece of R & R.
I am most definitely a kid person, I don't like microphones and I always get just a tad awkward around adults. I'm crazy in love with my high school sweetheart. We spent many long years going through infertility to grow our family, and now two very sassy girls rule our life. I love animals and cannot even shoot a ground squirrel. I am a coffee addict, I love steak in any form, and I am incredibly loyal.
As I open up bits of myself that I don't normally share, I hope you feel the family style of our center. We push hard for the kids and always, always, do whatever we can for them. With this commitment that we have for your children and our program, we also want you to remember that we all have families of our own, hobbies, sick days, etc. We strive to provide you with amazing customer service; however, we can only achieve that by sticking to our office hours and limiting our "office" time while we are off. Thank you for staying for the long read, I can't wait to get to know you and your child!
Love,
Miss Jackie

OUR INSTRUCTORS &
OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Since our founding in 2009, R & R Art Center has developed and grown in a positive direction. We’re very proud of the diversity of our staff, and their abilities to contribute their own unique experience and skills to our success. Find out more about some of our team members below.
As our founder, Jackie Frazier has been with us since the beginning. She brings her years of experience and skills to the forefront in helping our organization grow and succeed.
She graduated from Eastern Oregon University in 2009 with a B.S. in Multidisciplinary Studies, and her M.S. in Education in 2012. She received an Oregon Initial II Teaching License and has experience teaching all grade levels and multiple subjects from her years as a licensed guest teacher. She worked in the local school districts from 2005-2014.
Jackie started dancing at age 5. She has experience in ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, kick, military, novelty, & pom. She was a Payette Pi-rette all 4 years of high school. She placed regionally and statewide as a self-choreographed soloist her Sophomore & Junior years. She also assisted in all areas of running the team her senior year. Her team placed in the top 4 teams at the UDA Nationals Dance Team Championships, as well as holding multiple other state and regionals titles. She has taught or directed dance since 2007. As a coach/choreographer, she has placed regionally and nationally, as well as holding multiple overall studio awards, high golds, and superstar awards. She currently lives in Payette with her handy husband Richard, two beautiful little dancers, and their farm full of animals
Carrie started dancing as a child. She was a large part of her drill team squad in Billings Montana, and then enjoyed her senior year as a Payette Pi-rette. She was Jackie's biggest fan as a dance team mom, and was the creator, instructor, and choreographer for the Pi-rette Mom Dance Team that performed many years at Payette's Drill-O-Rama. She assisted Jackie during her years at Dancin Nancys. She served as Fruitland Chamber President for many years, as well as being a large part of many fundraising committees. As a coach/choreographer, Miss Carrie has placed regionally, statewide, and nationally, with high gold awards. She is a strong voice behind the scenes and is one that many of our dancers turn to when they need someone. She enjoys many styles of dance and wants to bring Saturday Night Fever back to all of the women in the area!
Amanda started with us as just a momma excited about her daughters first year of preschool, but over the last five years she has grown to be one of our core staff members. Amanda was involved in gymnastics at an expert level as a youth, and today is our head Tumble and Acro Coach.
She's been married to her husband 9 years and together they have two beautiful children, both of whom compete with R&R Art Center! While pursuing her bachelors in psychology, she currently holds a degree in behavioral and social science, as well as a certifications in cognitive behavioral therapy and neuro-linguistics practices. On top of schooling and dance, she runs fitness programs with R&R and homeschools her kiddos. Moving onto year five with R&R she is thrilled to be with us once again teaching all ages the precision, skill, power, and agility that tumbling/acro has to offer.
Miss Madie is moving into her fourth year with R&R. She is one of our prized teachers, working with the littles and loving them so tenderly. Miss Madie is classically trained in ballet and tap & had her very own specialty routine this year that placed first multiple times. She is extremely valued in both the preschool and daycare as well! As an incredible coach and dancer we are proud to have her as part of our team.
What can we say about Miss Jazmine? The smile in this picture says it all. Miss Jazmine is just our kind, dedicated, and talented teen who has thrived within our company as a student, competitor and coach. She took over our cheer program this last year and went took home the gold at every competition! We are so proud of her this past year!
Alex (Mr. Madie) started dancing as a sophomore in high school. He began with contemporary and eventually moved onto hip hop and Native tribal dance. He has experience in Spanish dance ans ballet as well! For him, dance is a way to escape the world and gives way to find peace within your soul. He is excited to be taking on the boys team this year and teaching technique. He can't wait to help kids build a better future for themselves!
